Model History:
The Seiko KS Special Vanac series represents a bold and flamboyant chapter within the King Seiko family, designed during the early-to-mid 1970s to compete with the rising demand for expressive, high-end dress watches. Produced exclusively for the Japanese market, the Vanac line was known for its vibrant dials, faceted crystals, and unusually ornate indices. This 5256-6000 model is powered by the highly refined 5256 automatic movement, a mid-range hi-beat caliber developed in Daini Seikosha with quickset functionality and excellent reliability. The brown-bronze sunburst dial, combined with the signature gold and silver block indices, exemplifies the Vanac aesthetic - daring, elegant, and distinctly 1970s.
