Model History

The Seiko SKX007 is one of the most iconic modern dive watches ever produced. Introduced in the mid-1990s as part of Seiko’s professional diver lineage, it followed earlier classics such as the 6309 and 7002 divers. The SKX007 quickly became a benchmark for affordable mechanical dive watches thanks to its robust construction, ISO-certified diver specification, and legendary reliability.

Powered by the dependable Seiko 7S26 automatic movement, the SKX007 features a screw-down crown at 4 o’clock, a unidirectional timing bezel, strong LumiBrite, and 200 meters of water resistance meeting professional diver standards. Its balanced 42 mm case, highly legible dial, and durable design made it a favourite among divers, collectors, and watch enthusiasts worldwide.

Although production ended in 2019, the SKX007 remains one of the most sought-after Seiko dive watches and is widely regarded as a true modern classic.

Condition

This watch is in very good vintage condition. The stainless steel case shows normal signs of wear consistent with use and age but remains well preserved overall. The black dial with luminous indices is clean and highly legible, and the LumiBrite remains strong, as visible in the lume photograph.

The watch has recently undergone a professional service, during which several components were replaced to ensure reliability. These include a new original crystal, new crystal gasket, new caseback gasket, and a new crown. The watch is fitted with a new black rubber strap.

All functions operate correctly, and the movement runs properly.

The watch is offered without box or papers.
