Model History
The Seiko 5 line, introduced in 1963, represents one of the most successful and longest-running automatic watch families ever produced. The name refers to the five core features that defined the series: an automatic movement, day-date display, water resistance, recessed crown, and durable case and bracelet.
Over the decades Seiko produced countless variations within the Seiko 5 range, covering everything from dress watches to sporty field-style models. The 7S26-powered Seiko 5 watches of the early 2000s are especially appreciated for their reliability and practical everyday design.
This particular reference features a clear field-watch inspired dial layout, with a prominent outer minute track and inner 12-hour scale for excellent legibility. Condition
This watch is in very good overall condition. The sandblasted stainless steel case shows light signs of wear consistent with age and normal use but remains well preserved. The black dial is clean and legible, with luminous hands and hour markers that remain clearly visible in low light. During service the watch received a new sapphire crystal, which is completely scratch-free. The reliable Seiko 7S26 automatic movement has been serviced, and all functions operate correctly. The watch is fitted with a new NATO strap, making it comfortable and ready for daily wear. The watch is offered without box or papers.
